KVKK Disclosure Text

Under Article 10 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), GetYuva, acting as the data controller, has prepared this Disclosure Text to inform you about the processing of your personal data collected in connection with your use of our multilingual real estate marketplace (the "Service"). This text does not repeat our Privacy Policy; it fulfills our disclosure obligation under KVKK and complements our Privacy Policy.

1. Data Controller

Your personal data is processed by GetYuva, acting as the data controller, for the purposes and on the legal grounds described below, in accordance with KVKK.

2. Categories of Personal Data Processed

In connection with the Service, we may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity data — your first and last name.
  • Contact data — your email address, phone number, and, if you provide one, a WhatsApp number.
  • Listing data (for agencies and users who publish listings) — listing title, description, price, location and map coordinates, and photos.
  • Inquiry data — inquiry messages you send to agencies about a listing and the responses you receive.
  • Activity and preference data — your favorited listings, recently viewed listings, and your preferred language.
  • Location data — coordinates attached to a listing, and, if you grant permission, your device's location used for map-based search.
  • Device and usage data — information about your device and app version, and usage data (pages viewed, searches performed, features used) collected via our analytics provider.

3. Purposes of Processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Operating the Service (the real estate marketplace), including account creation, listing publication, search, and browsing.
  • Verifying listings and agencies and calculating agency trust scores.
  • Enabling communication between users and agencies (inquiries).
  • Personalizing your experience based on your preferred language and location.
  • Communicating with you about your account, your inquiries, and material changes to the Service.
  • Analyzing usage data to understand and improve the Service.
  • Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service; complying with legal obligations.

4. Legal Grounds for Processing

Your personal data is processed on the basis of the following legal grounds under KVKK Articles 5 and 6:

  • Necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract — to provide the account and listing features you have requested.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation — for statutory recordkeeping and regulatory requirements.
  • The data controller's legitimate interest — in verifying listings, preventing fraud, and improving the Service, balanced against your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Your explicit consent — where explicit consent is required as the legal basis (for example, optional contact details, device location, and analytics processing that requires consent).

5. Recipients of Personal Data and Purposes of Transfer

Your personal data is shared only to the extent necessary to operate the Service, with the following categories of recipients:

  • Agencies — when you send an inquiry about a listing, the relevant agency receives the information it needs to respond to you (name, contact details, inquiry content).
  • Service providers (data processors) — we share data with Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage infrastructure), PostHog (product analytics), Vercel (application hosting), and Cloudflare (content delivery, security, and traffic analytics), which we use to operate the Service on our behalf.
  • Competent public authorities — where required by law or legal process.

Some of our service providers, including Supabase, PostHog, Vercel, and Cloudflare, may process data on servers located outside Türkiye. Where this occurs, your personal data is transferred abroad in compliance with the requirements of KVKK Article 9, relying on contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards that provide an adequate level of protection. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Our application hosting and content delivery route traffic through infrastructure in the European Union and the United States.

6. Method of Collecting Personal Data

Your personal data is collected electronically through our website and mobile app — either provided directly by you (for example, during registration, listing publication, or when sending an inquiry) or gathered automatically as you use the Service — and is processed on the legal grounds described above.

7. Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Article 11)

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is being processed.
  • Request information about the processing if your data has been processed.
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether your data is used in accordance with that purpose.
  • Know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, domestically or abroad.
  • Request correction of your personal data if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly.
  • Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions set out in KVKK Article 7.
  • Request that any correction, deletion, or destruction be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred.
  • Object to the emergence of a result against you through the exclusive analysis of processed data via automated systems.
  • Request compensation for damages if you suffer harm due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

You may exercise these rights by submitting a written application to [email protected] clearly describing the nature of your request. Your application will be resolved as soon as possible, and in any case within the maximum period prescribed under KVKK. You may also use our Data Deletion page to request deletion of your account and associated data.
