You can request deletion of your GetYuva account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to submit a request, what happens when you do, and what to expect.

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your account and data, email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your GetYuva account (or clearly state that email address in your message). Use a subject line such as "Data deletion request" so we can route it quickly. We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the request, to make sure we don't delete the wrong account.

What Will Be Deleted

Once we verify your request, we delete:

your account and profile information (name, email, phone number, and any other contact details);
listings you have posted, if you are an agency or individual seller;
inquiries you have sent or received through the Service;
your favorites and recently-viewed listing history; and
other personal data associated with your account that isn't covered by the retention exceptions below.

What May Be Retained

We may retain limited data even after your account is deleted where:

we are legally required to keep certain records, such as for tax, accounting, or regulatory purposes;
we need to retain information to detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service; or
data exists in routine backups, which are retained for a limited period before being overwritten or purged as part of our normal backup cycle.

Any data retained under these exceptions is kept only as long as necessary for that purpose and is not used for any other purpose.

Timeline

We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity and confirming the request. In some cases — for example, if we need more information from you — this may take a little longer, and we'll let you know if so.

Self-Service Deletion

GetYuva does not yet offer a self-service "delete my account" option inside the app or website. Until that feature is available, emailing [email protected] is the way to request deletion of your account and data.
